Westside's Service Project at 5Rock Ranch

Tanner's school, Westside Christian High School, has a full day of service projects every year. They call it Serve-a-Thon, and all the students are involved in projects all over the city.

This year, I had the privilege of leading the project at 5Rock Ranch. Our task was to replace the roofs on three cabins. We had a great group and got a lot done. We didn't finish all the cabins, but the guys that work at the ranch will finish it up. Read about 5Rock's ministry to the fatherless at http://5RockRanch.com, and see the pictures here:

Weekend with Kochs

We just returned from a four-day weekend with our great friends, the Kochs, in Spokane. We had a wonderful time catching up with them. We raced go-carts, watched movies, ate way too much food, and laughed 'til we couldn't breathe.

Tanner's Freshman Year is Wrapping Up

Tanner has had a great first year at Westside Christian High School. He just brought home two awards. One is the President's Award for Educational Excellence. "President" here being W, not the school president. Congratulations Tanner!

The other is a plaque from Westside Christian Theater. Tanner recieved the "Promising Newcomer Award". Very cool! He also recently received the role of Teddy Brewster in the Fall play Arsenic and Old Lace.

The Spring choir concert was Wednesday night. Tanner is part of the main chorus as well as the men's chorus. Here are a couple pictures.

Tanner got his braces off at the end of April! Here's the before-and-after.

Moving back in time a bit, here are a couple of Tanner's first attempt driving a stick-shift.

And, back just a bit further. Tanner took Katie Aman to Banquet. Her mom is a professional photographer, so we ended up with some beautiful pictures. There are a bunch here, but they're all so good, I couldn't cut any.
